Putting the Spring into Leaf Springs - 1

I had read and watched posts about restoring the leaf springs, and was rather daunted by the job. Then I met 'Jim', who advised me to paint a mixture of paraffin and engine oil on to the springs and leave them for a while. So far, I've done this to the near-side rear and hopefully the videos below will demonstrate the difference in the treated and untreated springs.

Untreated front near-side spring. This one is being moved by the full force of my body weight jumping up and down on it.

Treated near-side rear spring. This one I can move just by pushing down on it.

More work required, but at least I know that I can put the 'spring' back in to Lola.
